The proposed development will deliver the following benefits for the area:

Creation of 110 additional full time and part time jobs across both stores with a range of roles available, plus further jobs during the construction period 

Providing free short stay parking for customers, including electric vehicle charging points

Enhancing the existing retail provision available to local residents at an already established retail and leisure destination;

A high quality, contemporary store design

Enhancing the visual appearance of the area by bringing the derelict brownfield site into active use

Lidl recently increased the wages of all hourly-paid staff, ensuring that employees remain amongst the best paid in the industry. Hourly paid customer assistants earn from £9.30 and up to £11.70 per hour. Lidl does not operate zero-hour contracts.
